I have an older Vendo 407 that's not getting cold enough- 54 degrees overnight. The compressor and fan work no problem but it's not cooling sufficiently. Is there a simple fix or do I need to replace it with another refrigeration deck? Otherwise the machine is great!

The first thing you want to look at is your thermostat. Is it set properly and is it working properly?
Then check the evaporator coils. Are they frosted over? Is there good air flow?
Are the coils cold? You might want to invest in an infrared thermometer to check the evaporator coil temperature.
Check the condensor coils. Are they clean? Are they getting good air flow? Are they getting hot?

Steve, also check that your machine has good clearance behind it. Air most be able to flow through the condensing coils. Make sure it is not tight to the wall behind it.

Need more info. Vendo has been making 407 since the 60's so I need to know what kind of coin mech? is it a single price, 2 price, 4 price, 5 price, multi price, 10 price, dummy mech, or MDB type? is there a prefix or suffix on the 407? 407 means it holds 407 cans of pop. Just a little more info and will be glad to help.well as you all are discussing about Vendo 407, I also have a query. How we can change the price of soda on a vendo 407 soda machine ?
