super new to the game! just reading up on this to see if I really want to get into the vending game, but got a real quick question that I can't find on google lol. my question is power. what kind of power cord is on the vending machines? will it plug into any socket like a tv or computer does or does it require a special socket like for a dryer. and then if it is a special socket then how do you plus it in at businesses? adapter? thanks!

If you are in the US, all current and older vending machines use standard 115V service and outlets. If you ever get into coffee, cold food or frozen food vendors those machine will require a 20A outlet which means one terminal is turned sideways, but those machines are still 115V.

The only machines with larger cords are coffee, cold food and frozen food because they pull up to 18 amps when they start. Those power cords have 12 ga. wire in them.

and dont try to bend the 20 amp cords to fit a 15 amp plug
you get in big trouble if theres ever a fire at location

Yes as long as the service into the building can handle it. Just don't put a soda machine on a circuit with any other large load on it and make sure the outlet is properly wired and grounded. You can use a circuit tester that plugs into the outlet to let you know if its wired and grounded properly.
