I took it apart, cleaned it, still not taking quarters.

I tried it full, half full, and without any quarters in the tube, still not taking quarters.

I put on a known good coin vaildator (top part), no good...still not accepting quarters. It will take any coin except quarters. I tried old quarters, new ones...it just will not accept a quarter.


I would return the mech to the supplier/seller. You've got a bad mech. Unless you know how to repair mechs..there's nothing you can do.

A good tip for everyone asking questions about pieces of equipment.

State the MODEL of each machine
If asking about coin mechs and DBV's>>>State what brand/model it is.


Your problem is probably as mentioned above>>>a faulty seal or an air gap somewhere.
OR your evap fans aren't spinning.

Walmart is a nasty heartless corporation....they are the most difficult store in the United States in dealing with. Don't waste your time with them...because believe me, they WILL waste your time in more ways then one.

MARS and COINCO are the two largest dollar bill validator and coin mech companies.

Call and see if you can order the part....if not check the internet....or maybe even a 3rd party vendor would sell the belts to you.

I have some of those on,ill turn those off. What setting would be what controls whether the bill validator will take more than one dollar.Thanx for the help guys.


It looks like your "multi-vend" IS on. Turn this off under "Options 2."


Your validator should take two dollars....except sometimes if you have a coinco coin mech and a Mars validator (or vice versa), it won't take 2 dollars. Make sure you have newer models of coin mech/validators if they're mixed OR use the same company for both.

Some validators also have options on them. You may need to hit a switch for accepting more then one dollar.
