I am selling the Kraft Easy Mac for $1.25 and it is doing quite well. Oreos also do pretty good.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you include the easy mac in a snack machine with other snacks? Any other meal type ideas that work well?

Has anybody tried a machine dedicated to meal ideas? ie cambells soup, tuna snacks, above items from Kraft, etc. etc.

Some of the best ones I sell include: Cereal Bars, tuna/chicken salad, chef boyardee, vienna sausage, etc. and in the winter you can buy a box of swiss miss hot choc for about 6 to 7 cents a packet and sell for 35 to 40 cents and make as much as a bag of chips. I like to find as many alternate items that fit in my candy slots such as crackers since candy bars cost so much now. Its one way to keep profit margins the same without increasing costs.

I have Oreo cookies. They do very well. They sell better than some of my candies. They do better among blue collar and among minorities.

I sell Oreo cookie 4 packs and the bags of mini oreo with moderate success. I sell the tuna kits in places where there are women but they don't sell for me in factories. The tuna kits are a slow seller in the winter and they don't sell at all in the summer.

C&J:
What kind of cereal bars do you sell? I tried Nutrigrain with no luck. Also what Chef BoyArdee product do you sell? Does it vend from a regular snack machine or are you offering it in a cold food machine?
Thanks, Ted

These are actual cereals made by General Mills (honey nut cheerios, cocoa puffs, and cinnamon toast crunch). It is about the size of a candy bar and it has a white filling in the middle made with milk. The Wal-Mart's in Louisiana just started carrying it. Also, the chef boyardee is variety flavors as well and it is pull top, microwavable cup that only fits in a 6 count spiral.
I have seen most of the products that are in refrigerated machines don't need to be refrigerated at all. Combine that stuff in your regular snack machine and you'll have meals along with snacks. You can fit most of it with 6 count spirals. With that being said, I am pulling a bunch of meal items because people don't buy anything more than $1.50 out of snack machines on a regular basis. Keep it limited to lower cost items if you can or you'll be blocking yourself of variety and more sales.
Nutrigrain is hit or miss. Most blue collar workers aren't watching their weight. They mostly just drink diet drinks if they are on a diet.
