About Me
Started my vending route back in 2004 and didn't really know what I was doing. A lot of trial and error. Searched and searched the internet for answers, but never really found any. Now that I have a thriving vending business, I wanted to give back and help people so they don't have to make the same mistakes I did. I started a website called the-gumball-guru.com which helps newbies and veteran operators on tips and tricks that can help them in their vending route.

In Topic: Bulk Vending Advertising- U-Turns

Yes I heard about this the guy that makes these advertising things that go on top of the uturn contacted me a couple of months ago because he wanted me to promote his idea to my email list. I'm not saying it won't work but you just have to be a go getter and get businesses to pay you for helping them advertise. I decided not to promote the item, but it is a good idea and another way to add to your bottom line on your vending route. Let me know how it goes and if you can make it a success.

Unfortunately sometimes this is the case. I have had bulk candy machines in sandwich shops like that where there are like 10 other machines than mind. But crazy enough my machines always made at least 20 dollars or more a month in those locations. Yes locating your own machines is good but I use a locator. I have now over 350 machines and I wouldn't have these locations if it wasn't for my locator. If you are good salesman then you probably don't need a salesmen. I personally don't like driving around town for 4 or 5 hours with a couple of machines in my car and come up empty handed. I rather pay a locator 40 to 60 bucks to find me a location and email the location to me. It is a lot more efficient for me. I use Kickstart locations I have been using them for the last two years and they are the best locator I have used so far, and I have to credit them with the success of my vending business.

I would lightly spray them with pam before you put them out. This usually only happens with mike n ikes where are you at in the country.
In Topic: Is "Kickstart Locators" legitimate?

Well I used kickstart to locate over 160 machines and they weren't all at once either it was over a period of a year. Yes sometimes it took a while to get a location, but I am in a small town in California. But Robert always found me excellent locations that made me money and I still have the locations to this day. I wouldn't go bad mouthing a good company just because he didn't get you a location right away for your 1 machine. He might of not responded to you the way you wanted to but he did respond by email and he did eventually get you a location. It wasn't his fault that the company didn't seem interested when you called to about placing your machine and it was a hassle to them. Thats all part of the vending game.
