You need to be more specific than "press Pepsi and get Dr. Pepper" as the column numbers this happens to and other details may matter.  When you say you have a Series 2 you also need to be more specific as to the model number of the machine that is on the serial number plate on the left edge of the door and if it has a logic board in the top of the door (and if it's an SII or SIID board).

Aside from the possibility that you have mistakenly put the wrong flavor in the wrong column (look at the bottoms of the columns for wrong products), I'm going to go out on a limb here and begin guessing what you have.  It sounds like you might have a machine with an SIID logic board with one service mode button along the bottom edge of the board near the harness connectors.  If so, then you may also have a later machine with a selection membrane behind your selection buttons instead of individually wired switches behind each button.  This membrane can fail and the usual sign of failure is that every selection is one column off.

If your machine is not as I described then there are two other possibilities, if this only happens with Dr. Pepper being the flavor vended as soon as a credit is set on the machine, then you either have a stuck selection switch on the Dr. Pepper button or a bad motor brake or bad motor switch on the Dr. Pepper motor.

Please give more information and I can be of further help.

Would you like me to send you a new switch membrane (if that's what yours has - you didn't confirm it)?

If you have a ribbon cable running down behind all your select buttons with a metal plate securing it then that's what needs to be replaced. If instead you have an individual switch behind each select button then you have a bad logic board. I can send you either item that's required for the repair.

You should try resetting the board to the factory default first.  Press and hold the service mode button on the logic board for 3 minutes.  When you release the button the machine should have defaulted to factory specs including all prices set to $99.95.  Reprice all of your selections and then try purchasing each of them to see if the mis-vend problem is gone.  If not then you'll need a new board.  If you'd like me to send you a new board you can PM me with your information.

So the factory default solved you problem?  If so then it might have been caused by a voltage spike or brownout or maybe some electromagnetic interference from a florescent lamp in the machine or nearby.  Check for any burned out lamps or lamps dark on their ends because when they go out and attempt to restart they can scramble a nearby logic board with interference.
