How difficult is it to replace the lock in a T-Handle - do I need a locksmith for this. I have a T-handle with bad springs and got the part and would like to reuse the lock if possible

Thankls

If you are just talking about a regular T-handle with a barrel lock inside (and I'm sure you are), the only thing you need to do to get the lock out is if you have the t-handle out of the machine or at least unlocked is turn the key as if you normally would to unlock the machine and you will see a little pin that will go down when you turn it. Well anyways get a small screw driver and press that pin in and pull on the key(which should pull the lock also) and the lock should come right out. Takes about 5 seconds.
