I have Genesis GO-127 / GO-137 electric snack drink combo machines. Their only source of light for the product is from a Plexiglas plate in the top of the machine. I have been playing around with ways to get some light on my product to make it more appealing to the customers. Currently, I have a small fluorescent battery powered (4AA rechargeables) that is velcroed inside to the top of the machine. Not sure how long the batteries will last, I figure I will have to change them out every time I restock. I would like to try and run a DC power adapter to my light, so I am not relying on batteries. I would like any suggestions that you have to make the display more appealing through lighting. Presently, the machine is in a rather dark hallway and probably cannot be re-located to a better lit area.
Sincerely,

Have you considered putting an LED strip in the top of the machine?
LED's will last 100x longer on batteries then flourescent lighting would.

I ended up buying a flourescent light cheap from Home Depot. I attached it with velcro and ran the wiring out the back. It makes a huge difference in the machine. I decided not to go with the LED lights because they cast blue color on everything and it looks strange. Thanks for your help!
