Greetings,

I'm trying to change the price on my machine...  It seems like a pretty easy thing to do; however, either my machine isn't cooperating, or I am doing something wrong.

All prices are currently set to $1.75 per 20 oz. bottle.  I want to change them all to $1.25 per 20 oz. bottle.

I open up the door and press the blue service button.  This activates the service mode and the front LED displays "HD".

That's as far as I can go.  I press and hold the top two buttons at the same time to switch to the next menu and it'll do one of two things...  Either display the total (lifetime) bottles vended, or do nothing at all.

I have unplugged the machine and let it rest off and tried again to no avail.  The machine's buttons appear to be working fine, because I can press the vend button to vend a soda without an issue.

On a side note, out of my 100+ attempts, at one point I did get it to switch from HD to the next menu (the one before price setting).  I couldn't get anywhere from this point and I haven't been able to replicate this since.

Please help!!!

Thank you.

Apparently,  selection 1 button has to be pressed really hard...  I finally got it.  on the same note, anyone want to sell me a conversion kit to allow selection 1 (wide or double slot) to vend 12 oz cans? thanks

If you are having that much trouble getting button one to work in the programming, do you also have trouble with it during a vend?  You may need to replace the switch or, if you don't have individual switches, you might need a new selection membrane so button one works as easy as it should.   I have the parts for 12 oz cans in either the side or narrow columns.  Just let me know which you'd rather do.  If the 12 oz selection will not be a top seller then you should put it in a narrow column.

PS: Do you know it's button one and not button two that is difficult?

I am positive that it's button one.  You have to press it hard to get it to active the vend and that's what was holding me up from being able to get to the S-P menu option.  Once I knew that I had to press it really hard, I could get it to work consistently.

This machine has a Pepsi front but currently has all Coke products in it.  I want to convert the wide side column to cans so I can offer Pepsi in at least one form.  I want to do that without having to buy the 20 oz. bottles since I am just starting as a side business.

So if you have parts available to fix vend button 1 and convert the column to 12 oz cans I will buy both.

Thanks.

Please tell me if you have an individual switch behind each button or if you have a selection switch membrane that runs down behind all the buttons.  If there is an individual switch, the bracket that the switch is mounted to may be bent down, moving the switch farther away from the button.  Slightly bending the bracket back to level may fix the problem.  Please let me know which you have and if you get button 1 to work properly.

To vend 12 oz cans from column 1 you will need 4 - 3/32" shims on each side of the column.  These shims are placed on the sides of the column where you should currently have 3/32" short shims for bottle vending.  The can shims are a different shape with the back end twice as tall as the front end of the shims.  Do you have any shims of this shape already used in the wide column?  If so how many do you have?  I can send you all 8 or only the number you are actually missing.  These shims are $5.66 each.

Okay, those are the short shims, so I will have to send you all 8 shims you need for cans.  I still need to know what kind of switch or membrane you have behind your selection buttons.

It looks like a single gray button behind each plastic selector.

SOLD on the setup for the soda cans in the wide column.  Please let me know my next step.

Thank you
