Is the credit harness plugged in? Its the 6 pin plug with 2 wires generally black and white. Check the machine circuit first disconnect the plug short the 2 pins together with a small needle nose pliers that goes towards the machine. you won't get shocked its very low voltage. It needs to be a quick short and brief (1 sec) if you get a credit on machine need to look towards the vali. If you don't see something visual i.e. loose pin, broke wire, etc. then it will be a board issue. What kind of machine is it on? Has the vali worked on that machine before could be program issue but doubtful. Just a thought.

It's an old-as-the-hills single price royal cold drink machine. The first thing I did was check all the connections and wiring. It is at a landfill so I was afraid that rodents might have chewed through something.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try that and see what happens.

BTW Vend1ng, you're a genius. When I went to check the credit harness, one of the wires fill out of the plug on the machine side. I guess when I checked the connections, I didn't look closely enough.
