Getting a route person

15 January 2008 - 07:06 PM

Hey Guys,
For those of you that know my situation, I have a new quandry. It looks like my wife is going to have to spend more time in the cafeteria than we first thought. So, I am trying to figure out a good way to hire someone to fill snack machines and not steal my money. It would be a good part time job for someone, I just need to figure out a good way to secure the dollar bill holder so that it can be locked until I want to collect. I'm not too worried about the change bucket, but is there some type of generic device to use for this? Thanks in advance.

Ants

I have a machine in a break room that has ants. How do you keep them out of a machine? Please Help!

Thanks

Need help

01 December 2007 - 10:00 PM

I just setup my HR32 with a satellite ff2000 on it. Can't get the compressor to kick on to start cooling the machine. Went through the diagnostic menu and the machine won't respond. Anyone have one of these? For anyone who has been keeping up with my story, here is an update. Got all of the machines placed in the paper mill. The "White glove" delivery I got was less than stellar. They sent a local vendor who was about 65 with his two brothers who were older than that. It took us 10 hours and many bumps and bruises on my machines to get the 10 machines placed. Found out the commisions I am getting on soda too. Cheerwine is giving 40%, Coke 31%, and Pepsi 25%. Coke guy said they moved 5400 cases last year. So, I should be getting good money just for letting them vend there. The machine with the satellite frozen on it had 4 items sold out in the day and a half it was sitting there. I'm starting to get excited, but the cafeteria doesn't open till Monday. That will tell me what I have gotten into. Wish me luck. And please let me know if anyone has info. on the ff2000. Thanks

How much commision to charge

26 November 2007 - 03:18 PM

I have an account that is a 800 employee paper mill. Currently, the soda is all contracted out full service. There are 10 Cheerwine machines, 20 Coke and 20 Pepsi. I contacted the Cheerwine guy who said he is currently giving 40% of gross and the monthly commision is about $800. I still have yet to find out what the current commision is from the Coke and Pepsi people. What should I ask for? I am thinking that if the Cheerwine people are giving 40% and still making money that 20% from Coke and Pepsi may be doable. Thoughts?
Thanks

Let's pretend like i've never done this before

07 November 2007 - 10:10 PM

OK. So on Nov. 28th I am going to have 10 HR-32's and 2 frozen/cold satellites delivered to the paper mill I just got. At the same time, they are closing down the site cafeteria for renovation. So, i'm going to have to set up and fill all 12 machines in short order. And i've never done it before. I need hints, tips, step-by-step instructions, and anything else I can get from this wealth of knowledge on this board. They are sending a tech who is going to give me a full day of his time to help with setup and whatever else I need. By the way, I got the 32's with Ivend for 2925 apiece, and the satellites for 4075 apeice. They threw in the upgrades to the 2 snack machines that get the satellites for free and the price includes the white glove delivery to the exact spot I need them. Does this sound good to everyone? Thanks again in advance.

Special thanks to Jeremiah and Kevin for all the help they have already given me. It's been priceless.
