if they are completely froze over from left to right...

above them,if you remove the delivery chute is a fan.......it may be bad....not circulating the ait thru the coils

next......door seals not sealing........this can cause ice up/frost problems.....just like a refrigerator at home.....

if the ice you are seeing is only on the right hand side, forming an ice ball....you have a lo-freon condition...

last....which is always a necessary preventative measure.....is the coils clean in front of the compressor at the bottom of the machine? and is the machine setting a minimum of 6 inches from the wall for proper air circulation..

you didnt say if the pop was cold, or if it was freezing the cans.......if its freezing pop, you could have a bad thermostat

Hi group,

I have a DN5000 bottle drop that I inherited. Every week I find out from the customers that different lanes will give a "sold out" message even though the lane is loaded with product. I seem to be able to fix the problem by test vending the lane. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing which lanes are messing up until you put money in and try the selection. Has anyone ever seen this problem and is there a way to correct it without test vending all 45 lanes? Thanks for any help you guys out there have.

lou....its been a while but i have seen this.......the reason it works after you open the door and test it,is you are unkowingly resetting the capacity for that column.......i dont have a manual, but if you do it will tell you how to increase the capacity of each column so it wont lock out before all product is gone......example if the column is 20 oz bottles and holds 8 at maximum capacity, you need to go into mode and tell the board that that selection has 8.......every time you open the door from that point on, it will reset to 8....

wish i could give you step by step.....but i dont have a book........look indie the monetary door,,,sometimes there is a diagnostic mapping decal that may help you.......

suggestion.....before you search for a motor...have you tried exchanging that motor with another in the machine? to do so would assure its the motor....if it works on another column......your problem may be in the wiring harness on the shelf...

just a thot.....

What could cause a DN501R to OCCASIONALLY vend product from the wrong column? Apparently sometimes when the "Coke" button is pushed, it vends from the 7-Up column. It must be sporatic because when I put money in or put it on test vend, everything works fine. Any ideas?

it usually has to do with the vend command thru the motor switch being interfered with....d/n 501 are notorius for this wierd problem and it has to do with moisture in the switch....if 7-up is dropping when another item is selected, start by changing the vend switch on the 7-up motor, it most likely has drawn moisture, and since they operate on lo-level voltage and are wired in series with all the other motors, tis type of symtom will occur....

also , if this does the trick...dont throw the old switch away....throw it on the dash of your truck for a few days....i have seen them dry out and then they are ok to re-use.....

good luck barry
