I've only been a member here for a few months and in that time I've seen many many questions from vendors asking for advice on how to find locations for their machines. I've tried to help out whenever I could because I feel that every vendor should know how to find his or her own locations. It's not only an essential part of the business but it's also a key learning tool. So, I've been working on (and finally finished) an ebook that I hope can be used as a resource by vendors who want to locate machines on their own. It's geared mainly towards bulk and full line machines but the scripts can be adapted for other machines as well.

Can anyone suggest a reliable company or source that I can use to generate leads for cold calling target companies for possible vending machine placements? I want to be able to generate these leads myself to use in my business venture.

I currently have about 30 full size soda and snack machines. My average monthly gross revenue from each machine ranges anywhere from $30 to nearly $600. In other words, it's all over the map. For the past few months I've been actively engaged in relocating the low income producers as an alternative to buying more machines. So far the results of the relocations have been good. The overall monthly average for each machine is now about $20 higher than when I first started relocating them 2 months ago. That translates to about $600 more total monthly gross revenue overall. What I'd like to know is what kind of gross monthly income per machine (i.e. Soda and Snack) would you consider to be acceptable in this business. Define acceptable as "is enough revenue that you wouldn't consider relocating the machine any time soon."

I've been operating a vending business (bulk candy and snack/soda routes) for the past year and have learned quite a bit about locations and locators in the vending world by locating my own machines as well as hiring professional locating companies to work for me. The "professionals" I've worked with have been both bad and good but always expensive and sometimes unresponsive.
