That could be a possibilitly. It's a cheap fix. I would try that first then if that does not workI would try a new motor.

Dixie - Narco
Model
DN501E
MC/511-9

9 column

I have a single 501-E in front of my car lot. It was working flawlessly for quite some time and now it is acting up. What happens is this: put the money in and push the selection button. product comes out. ok. next time put money in, push button and either "try another selection" message appears or your money gets returned. I can open the macine and one of the cams/motors will not be turned far enough to release the micro-switch. i can pull out on the door button and the message "homing" apeears on display, the errant cam/motor turns to next cam notch and machine is ready to use again. it may act up several times daily or once a week. i have nothing but 12ox cans. any insight?

I have something similar going on. Is this happening to all selection for you or just one?

In Topic: Dixie Narco S2-D Help?

I have the very same problem right now on a Dixie Narco 501 8 selection can machine with a SIID board. The micro arm on a certain column is not making it into a cam "valley" alowing a can to drop. An error message appears when it occurs saying "JC-2" which I know means that there is a jam on column 2 but when I hit the door interlock switch with the door open the micro arm moves to the valley and the can drops. Does this mean that I should replace the motor or is it a board problem?

Thanks,

Justin

Clean the machine, and move on....do not bring it up again... if it's brought up by a customer, just explain that the machine has been cleaned and the products replaced, thats it, don't go into any details about how the mouse got in , etc...sales will go back to normal.

same thing happened to me.. keep the machine clean and sales will bounce back back after a couple of weeks.
