In Topic: Hire a locator?

08 August 2010 - 07:16 AM

RJT,

Thank you for your reply. I want to get in Vending business. I planned to buy a vending route. I saw an ad about a vending route on the web and contacted the seller. But the selling agent told me that it was sold. The agent offered to sell me a new vending machine (genesis GO-127/137 Combo) with a price $2,995 and shipping fee $300 (6-year part warranty). The agent also mentioned that a locator will help me find a business to place the vending machine with a fee $300.

I wonder if it is a good idea to hire a locator. I do not have the experience and do not have much time to find a good business.

The vending machine is a combo machine
Drink Capacity of 145 Bottles and cans with 6 selections.
Snack Capacity Up to 140 snacks with 13 selections.

Do you know if this a decent machine? To me, the price is high. What do you think?

Thank you for your input and help.

Cowboy in TX.

RUN!!!! dont walk.. Run like hell to the nearest exit. The ad was to get you to bite, there never was a route for sell.
I have never had one but if you go back thru past topics in this forum you will not find anything good being said about the genesis machine.

In Topic: Vendo 511 stopped cooling

07 May 2010 - 04:15 PM

Hi all,

My Vendo 511 stopped cooling. The fan and compressor is running and it sounds normal. I vaccumed out the front radiator and will go back to blow it out with a compressor.

What would the next steps be?

Can the refrigerant be added too?

Am I able to replace the refrigeration units easily?

Thank you in advance for those that may have some knowledge for me.

my guess would be the cpmpressor has a freon leak. if the compressor sounds like it is running normal touch the evaporator and see if it is warm. If it is there is no freon in the system. If you know a refrieration guy who can find and fix and recharge the system with freon that would be a good way to go. Do not try to do this yourself unless you have worked on and understand how thw refrigeration system works. You need a set of gauges to pressurize the system and there is a high pressure side and a low pressure side and if you dont know the difference you can damage some stuff and yourself.
What I do is buy a whole unit already charged and ready to be installed and change out the old unit. Then have the old unit repaired and put it on the shelf for the next time.

Good Luck

In Topic: Vendo V-192-6 wont vend

It counts the money but when you push any buttons nothing happens. It doesn't have a bill option. the machine is rather old and has no digital screens of any kind.

okay your answer leads me to these questions. Do you have product in any of the slots when you try to make it vend?
If the machine is totally empty it is in a sold out condition and will not vend.
Is there change in the coin mech tubes especially nickels? The machine will only vend if exact change is used unless there are enough nickels in the nickel tube to make change with.
When you push a selection and nothing happens can you push the coin return and get your money back?
When you put the coins in where do they go?

Your answer to these questions will help determine if this is just a bad coin mech or if there is a bigger problem.

I just bought a vendo v192-6 machine and the power cooling system works but it wont vend. I don't know if it has a short somewhere or if there is a much bigger problem. the machine came out of a old garage and is pretty dirty. I really don't know where to start looking for problems. there are two plugs that are just hanging loose out of the box where the plug for the light comes out of. i don't know if those go somewhere or if there are extra plugs.
any help would be great

These are easy to troubleshoot if you break things down one step at a time. The place I would start is does it take money. Will it take dollar bills or change. What happens when you put correct change in it? Does it count the money and then not do anything or does the change go to the coin return?
If it counts the money and then you push a selection button what happens? anything? nothing?
These are questions that need to be answered before you can move on

Good Luck and let us know

In Topic: National Snack 145

Hi vending people...I have a National 145 with a maka bill acceptor factory setting where the logic board is attached above the acceptor on the door....My question is will another manufacturer fit in this narrow area....Or should I just get the maka repaired...I still have two of these 145 machines.....

I would buy another rebuilt Maka and then have the one you have repaired in case one fails in your other two machines and eliminate some down time.
You can get a rebuilt one for around a $130.00
