Finding locations yourself is really not that hard to do. You are not selling anything; you are just offering an easy way for the owner or company to make some extra money without any work or worry. Start with business people you know and the businesses you frequent. Next, focus on the area or street you like and visit locations you think would will be good for your machines. You will find that after placing the first few machines it only gets easier!

Ask for the manager or owner of the business and begin telling them that you are not selling anything. Let them know that this vending machine is only going to take up an approx. 18"x18" piece of floor space in their establishment. Then tell them about the opportunities and benefits that the machine can serve, such as a snack for their customers or employees. Mention that the money from the machine can be used for anything from a vacation fund for the owner, to paying for items like business cards, supplies, their electric bill, and nowadays, gas!

Let them know you will pay them their percentage at the same time you service the machine and they are welcome to watch you while you do this. (The percentage you pay should run from 10% or more Depending on the location). Or, if you use a charity, let them know that the part of the proceeds will go to that charity. We recommend working with a local charity that your community can identify with.

Show them a picture and let them see the machine and tell them they can pick the color of machine and even the candy that fills it up. Tell them how soon you can put it in their location and ask if it will be ok.

Once you secure the location and fill the machine up with product, give the manager/employees a couple quarters each so that they can use the machine and get into the habit of putting quarters into your machine and see how easily it works.

Make sure to put a decal or card with your name and number on the back of the machine. Point it out to the staff and tell them to call when the product gets low or for any issue.

I hope this gives you some insight into placing your machines and please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
