HooseFoose,

Hey, how many cashless machines do you have? How are sales on cashless machines vs. traditional cash machines?

Also, do offer smartcards?

Thanks!

Vending Chat Members,

I am interested in your feedback on cashless vending systems. I found one in a "LinkedIn" group forum. I think the concept is a good one. People carry less and less cash these days, so I think it is a viable option, provided that you have the capital to invest in it. I have brought up other equipment in the past that had it already installed from the factory (i.e. multi-max.com), but those machines have a very small capacity and would not do well in a large account.

Microtronic (http://www.microtron...com/product.php) has a product that will retrofit to most late model machines. They have options for both a closed and open system. Closed is where the customer must "load" their card by pre-paying it. An open system accepts credit cards. I think I would be more interested in the closed system because I understand that the fees to process credit cards are quite high.

Please add your thoughts or experience with cashless systems. I am interested to hear what you have to say. Thank you.

Sincerely,

~HooseFoose~

In Topic: $6K for bulk candy kiosk

26 February 2010 - 10:14 AM

Help me out...how many machines are on the Kiosk? Yes, a 6K investment into a kiosk is well worth the investment. Certain types of locations can push over $2000 a month in revenue if you have the RIGHT Kiosk with the RIGHT amount of equipment on it in the RIGHT location. Other factors to consider are: correct commission structure, correct product mix, and knowing your cost of goods per vend.

Thanks! Good stuff The machines vary from 12-24. These are multi-tiered "tabletop" setups. Lets say 14 machines on average for one of these kiosks. Is $6K reasonable? How on earth do you get $2K/month. Ok for a sporting venue I can see - 30,000+ fans in a captivie facility for a few times a month is huge. But, can this price be justified in a mall?

Thanks!!!!

I use and manufacture bulk vending kiosks.. I have them in sports arenas and they can generate extremely high revenue numbers!! Does the $6000.00 include the kiosk and equipment? If so, what type of equipment? check out my website http://www.michiganminivend.com Click on the Sweet Spot Kiosk for more info.

The quote includes the kiosks and the machines (Beaver).

Help me out in terms of the economics.....Can you justify a $6K machine for bulk candy?

Thanks!

Have you grown your route organically, or have you acquired some machines?

Do you work full-time on your route, or do you have a day job? Would you advise this as a full-time job? What are your goals in terms of growth?

You seem to be the kind of operator I want to be that's why I'm so interested in your views.

Thanks again.
