I've been looking for parts for my snackshop4000 , I know its an older model( I guess you would call it the service board) A part has stopped working on it , specifically the board that allows me to change prices now has a blinking light on it and it shows a $1.00 credit on it and doesn't allow any vends. I am unaware of what the problem is exactly but if anyone knows where I can buy parts from that would be great.

The red blinking light on the service module is more then likely the 'Operate' light. If it is blinking then the main board will need to be removed and repaired. The module itself is fine. The main board is the long rectangular board with three plugs on the left hand side and two at the bottom. These boards can still be repaired. Where to get it repaired depends on your location.

Dixie Narco SIID will say 'Homing' on the display when the inner-lock switch is depressed or pulled. This means that the motor for column 4 is not in one of the home positions. The board is attempting to correct the motors position. You mentioned that you 'manually vended' the column. Was this done using the 'TEST' function of the SIID control board?

Check to make sure you do not have a stuck or crushed can in column 4. Look up from the bottom of column 4 to see if you there is a can stuck that is preventing the motor from rotating the cam.

Having the model number of your Lektrovend would help determine the proper pricing procedure. But try this for starters. This is for a USI GF12 which I have come across some Lektrovend models using the same procedure.

A) Press the “SERVICE MODE BUTTON” Button which is located on the left-hand side, on the backside of the door.

B) Using the front key pad enter the number 4 to enter price setting mode.

C) Enter in the selection to be priced. Example: A1

D) The Display will show the current price assigned to that selection.

E) Use the ‘*’ key to increase the price in five cent increments or use the ‘#’ to decrease the price in five cent increments.

F) Repeat steps C – E to price further selections.

G) Press the “SERVICE MODE BUTTON” to return machine back to sales mode. Or wait thirty seconds.

Look closely at the motor while it is running. More then likely the white plastic break on the motor itself is broken. This allows the motor to coast a bit once power has been removed from the motor. The coasting of the motor will re-engage the power micro switch on the timing cam, re-applying power to the motor, causing a continues cycle (running of the motor).

To find the break just look for a very small spring that is around the electromagnet part of the motor. The break is a white plastic piece with a curved tip. Dixie-Narco and Vendo motors will commonly snap the plastic tip off if the machine has some age on it. The plastic just gets brittle.

I would check the actual vend relay. It looks like a small plastic cube that typically sits next to the changer plug. It sounds like that when credits it established the vend relay is triggering but you may have a bad contact point inside the relay. The relay stays charged waiting for a vend to happen but since the current is not being passed through to the selection buttons (due to the bad contact point). Unplugging the machine kills power to the relay and returns it back to it's idle position. Replacing the relay will more then likely cure your problem.
