Cans are easier to set up in machines due to most being the same shape but when freeze you have garbage. Bottles can get a little froze with no damage. You can also get cans at some sales really cheap where bottles don't usually go on those like cans in 12 packs do.These prices are cheaper than small guys can get from bottlers.JMO
I have been with this vending company for 5 months and we had two machines people have vandalized in a small northwoods wisconsin area. One was a glass front quite a bit of damage with broken glass the soda vending machine they tried but never got in very little damage. New plastic front and lock assembly is all.
What dondon said earlier about using at leasy six sodas you could just test the motors by holding the switch in in the column.Sometimes we just put little wedges on the motor side to hold the switch also and test them all.
