New York Contacts

19 March 2011 - 04:43 PM

Trying to see if anyone else on here has some good vendors for Refurb/New Soda/Snack Machines and Parts in the NY Area ( Long Island Preferred. )

Also any companies besides SAMs Club / Restaurant Depot anyone in the area would recommend for supplies that they have dealt with.

Dex Credit Card

12 March 2011 - 10:49 PM

Trying to understand the real Pros and Con's of having Credit Card Readers in your machines aside from the 4 cents per transaction. Very well aware of most of the common Pros, so would like to hear if anyone has had a terrible experience with them, and pitfalls,

Thanks in advance.

Vending Book Recommendations

Would be highly appreciated if some people could recommend some of their favorite/most informable Vending Business Books they have read to gain extra insight into the business as I firmly believe you can never know to much.

Vending Machine Choices

10 March 2011 - 08:19 PM

I have been doing a lot of ground laying research over the past year before really jumping into it, and would honestly like to get it going at the beginning of this summer. I am only looking to do this part time, and have a few locations that would be more than accommodating to my serviceable times should I place a machine there.

However I don't mind turning an immediate profit right off the bat -- meaning I don't mind investing in a good machine that would take longer to pay itself off before I saw a decent return.

I am from the New York area, and a ton of the local vending companies I see in locations are using very old, and non-appealing machines.
- Specifically I would like to purchase glass front vending machines, and would like to see if anyone had any recommendations. Dixie Narco's BevMax 2 as the 3 is very hard to find, and pricey should a used one be available.
- Snack Machines I had taking a liking to National.

I would personally like to try to keep mostly the same type of machines, so I could keep the basic extra parts on hand that might typically go bad over time, and not have trouble in the long run.

Lastly I have not been able to find to much information on the older Coke/Pepsi Machines that you would typically aim to purchase for $250 dollars, and would really appreciate any specific model numbers/types of machines to look for, so when I see one available I can seize the opportunity as I understand even a small location grossing $50 a week could quickly turn a profit back to you when purchasing a machine at such a low cost.
