Trial and error are great teachers! I have all 9 columns running smooth now, but have encountered a few other minor things.

The only 20 oz water available in my area that claims to vend still sometimes drops 2, is there another shim to correct this?

The bill acceptor is not functioning at all, still learning about it but looks like a replacemment is coming soon.

My stand alone bill changer suddenly quit working yesterday, (when it rains...). Stupidly, I checked the fuse without unplugging and recieved a jolt to remind me of safety practices. Got a call back coming monday from tech support on it but ?? likely a new circut board ??

24 0z pepsi products. Sadly local pepsi distributor doesnt appreciate vending competition and the only bulk source for 20 oz is them. Local discount whs has a good deal on 24 oz but they will only fit 1 deep which means reload often.

If your 501E has no rods and springs, I tend to think it's already set up for 20oz bottles. The rods and springs when set in the correct holes are for 12oz cans, Red Bull, 16oz Energy such as Monster etc... However, depending on the product, the rod/spring need to be installed in the appropriate hole. (1 of 3 available hole options)

A can shim (1 on the right side of the column) is required if going that route obviously.

I don't have any experience vending 16.9oz bottles out of these machines, only 20oz. What color cam motors are on your machine? If it's dropping 2 at a time and then none, the cam does not sound to me like it's set for the right product. Bottle neck guides are not required on this model. Try dsvendinginc.com for parts for this. They'll have any shim, rod/spring etc...needed for this machine. Part numbers are on the set up decal located inside the machine. Hope some of this info helps you out. I'll answer any other question(s) you may have. Good luck...

Thank you for your reply. The cam motors on the narrow columns are all brown and the cam motor on the wide column is red over gray.
I only want bottles, cans present a far greater spill and clean issue in my warehouse, trucks and work areas.
Are these the right cam motors?
How should they be set up?
