In Topic: TELEMETRY FOR VENDING?

17 May 2011 - 09:06 PM

hi, i just started in vending and would like to know if any of you are using telemetry for controlling the machines. i've heard it is awesome, but i'm not sure if it's really profitable.

i heard something about alarms in one of the chatrooms, i think that you can know the alarms of the machine in the moment that they're happening too, so that sounds like cool.

please, if anyone is using this method, know about costs or if you know any good company that can inform me about it, i'd really appreciate if you can give me a hand.

thank you all. jay.

We used telemetry for controlling about 100 vending machines for a 6 month trial, the final result is that we dropped the program due to the cost and incompatibility issues with the vendors.

In Topic: DN 501T "sold out"

15 May 2011 - 09:18 PM

I checked all of those out and wasn't finding anything. Last time I visited, it had done the same thing shortly after I left two weeks prior. After working on it extensively, I found that if I didn't crank down the door lock as hard, it wouldn't activate the "sold out" condition. I'm guessing that torquing down the lock was causing some electrical short that would throw it into this mode.

Try an check the harness form the board to the sold out switches, check on the VMC (vending machine controller) side where the sold out connection is made for any corrosion on the contacts. If you know how to use a volt meter, you can take the plug that goes to one of the sold out switches, then unplug it and check its voltage 5vdc.

In Topic: DN 501E

Hello,
I am new to this world, I have a DN 501E mc/s11-9 as a gift from my grandfather, it is presently set up to dispense 20 OZ bottles, any idea how to convert it to 12 oz cans?
also any help in loading etc would be cool..thanks

Look on the inner door, there should be a chart on how to setup the columns for the product. You will need to remove the bottle shims and replace with can shims, set the cam and install rods in the single column's. That is pretty much it.

In Topic: Dixie Narco - Select Another

15 May 2011 - 01:52 PM

Maybe someone can help me with this. When I close the door to my soda machine the message appears - "select another" or it says "homing". I open the door and I can see the coin mech light blinking. Would a faulty coin mech cause this issue?

Does the vendor vend from the other columns? Make sure that all of the cam switches are in the valleys, if not you will have to unjam them first.

In Topic: vendo 570 sold out

15 May 2011 - 01:44 PM

have a vendo 570 and I recently replaced the Coinco mechanism which had failed, now that I replaced it (working fine) all selections say sold out, I did test each column and all tested OK, rthe other issue when I close the door the service buttom closes and vends one item from each colum, i did try disconnect and reconnect all harness and terminals.

any suggestions

Make sure you have all the wires it the correct position on the VMC (vending machine controller). I know that the door switch and the DEX plug wires can be crossed, This will cause the machine to act crazy. Also if you have a diagram on the inner door it will show you how to hook up the VMC correctly.
