Not really sure what the question is here. Are you asking if the prices seems reasonable, is North Western a reputable company, etc. Can you be a bit more specific on what you want to know directly?

If the machine includes stand and is in good condition, yes, that is a good price, and NorthWestern is a good brand. One of the best.

I have found some used bulk machines that a guy is selling because of health reasons. He is selling them for $50 each, they are triple head and single head machines, the machines are made by "Northwestern". This sounds like a good deal to me but I need some help because I'm new at this. If someone reads this please, please reply to this ASAP. Thanks in advance for your reply.

In Topic: Vending Outreach Programs

I just started about a month ago and I signed up with Vanished Children's Alliance.  They also give you a lot of materials to help you find locations and look professional.  Visit www.vca.org.  They have been great.

In response to your post, I have always been told that using a charity is exclusively done to get in the door of a potential busienss without paying higher comissions. When you mention that you work with your particular charity and that a part of the proceeds help to benefit the chariy, they may be a bit more willing to allow placement of the machine without wanting a cut. But if you're not required to give a monthly comission to your charity, then I guess you wouldn't be able to use that line with a potential customer because technically, you're not contracted to give anything to that charity. This is my first time hearing about a Vending Outreach Program that doesn't require a monthly contribution. Had I known about (JDRF) before I started, I probably would have chose them. I'm guessing that they are more concerned with just getting thier name out there on the machines advertisement wise as opposed to receiving funds. Also, you can find chariies as low as $1.00 a month such a Chidl Search. I don;t know who in their right mind would pay $20 a month for one label. With CS, you pay $1.00 for each label you have, so the less labels you use, the less your royalty fees will be and vice versa.

Thanks for the advice, but that post is pretty old and I've found another insuere that costs 350 a year for a million. I'm probably going to change next year to a compay that cost 250 a year for a mil that will replace stole machines for a $100 deductible, which my current issuere doesn't have. Thanks for the response anyway. ANd by the way, I decided against the yellow pags, it was really just a passing thought and it PASSED right on by.[

State Farm & All State both offer vending insurance. Yet, your local agent probably doesn't know a thing about it. All State is pretty involved in vending industry.

You can get a $1M policy for around $500 a year. So, it is worth it for the peace of mind!

In Topic: Good Locators

17 April 2006 - 03:45 PM

Amen to that Chuck. I agree. I have gotten burned before as well, but I did find one, then two, now three telemarketers that work well. The first one went out of business due to the hurricanes, but they located me three very good locations brforehand. One of the locations they found is the YMCA and it brings in over $80 a month, which as you know, is very good for a three head candy machine. The other locator, Jayne, is actually one that you mentioned which I found on ebay. She finds me locations every time and will even replace a locations within 60 days if needed. The third locator that I just found, is a little cheaper than Jayne and is very nice to work with as well. His locations start at $25. So I agree that he shouln't come on here knocking others based on his experience. If anything, he should simply state to be "cautious," maybe even post the locators who burned him so that future customers will stay away, and leave it at that. This board is for support. I honestly feel that you can chose several locating methods, especailly when you're first starting out. I use a telemearketing locator, as well as in-person locating on days that I have off from my 9-5. In addition to that, I'm about to start doing my own telmarketing to eventaully cut out the paid telemarketers such as Jayne. I'm also posting ad on the net which have gotten a few responses. In the long run, you do need to start at least trying, but for those who can't or just won't, there will always be telemarketers and in-person locators, which of course, cost more money which is why a lot of people don't bother with them. At least that's the reason why I don't bother with them. I don't know about others. So I say we continue to post and try to be as supportive to one another as we can.

Coolhand,

***That is your own opinion - not a fact!!  I have gotten most of my locations via telemarketing locators with excellent results.  If you have that attitude you probably been burned a lot in the past as MOST of them are bad or unethical!!  There however, in every line of business, a FEW out there you can trust or rely on, and with a lot of good feedback from other people in the business, I'm glad I decided to try them, and I use these 2 exclusively.

Yes - one is selling a book, but she does provide a great location service.  The other link I wrote wrong, sorry it is: http://topnotchlocating.com/

If you just stick with your bad attitude, you will get nowhere in the business.

Anything coming out of your mouth is SPAM!  I was only trying to give usefull information to help people out on the board.  Your post was just an indication of the stupid, unprofessional idots in the industry.

YOU take a hike!
