Hi all,

The Mars 2501 validator in this machine keeps freezing up after about 8-10 hours of being on. At that point the green blinking arrows get stuck solid and nothing will work... Even if you take off the magazine, the indicator LED will stay stuck solid not even indicating you removed it. To fix it, I have to unplug it which resets everything and then it will work fine again for a while.

Has any one had similar issues or have any suggestions?

The machine has a Mars VN-2511 validator in it. Currently the LED is blinking 5 times over and over which I realize means the magazine is removed... but it is actually on. I can take it on and off, makes no difference in the error. If I unplug the validator and plug it back in, it will blink 4 times (cross channel blocked) once, then it goes to blinking 5 times over and over.

I have pulled it apart the best I can in the machine. Everything appears to be normal and nothing is in it or blocking any paths that I can tell. It runs briefly (startup) after plugging it back in and then the error codes start blinking.

Curious if anyone has any suggestions... or is it just toast and should I go ahead and replace it?
