In Topic: In Search Of: Lowest cost suppliers

I have a sams club membership anyways so the membership cost doesn`t bother me. I manage a restaurant and am gonna use one of it`s supliers.I wish I woulda opened the account befor I got the route started because I`ve really used my sams membership this year.
as far as pricing goes he says he will match sams at minimum.how much do you guys think he should charge me by the pound since I will be buying 30lbs or so of each candy?

Not sure Antonio. Just calculate the bulk price of your candy per pound and make sure you are paying less with the distributor. I'm not really sure the prices will be much lower for brand name products.

At the construction site you are going to get a lot more sales with two types of candy instead of candy/gumballs. I know the profit margin on the gumballs is great but it will be made up for by selling another candy in bulk.

I suggest reeses for the simple reason that you can't buy them in the store in a small package. Although sometimes construction workers are looking for something not so sweet (unlike women) so I would suggest honey roasted peanuts. You can get a fairly large tin of honey roasted peanuts at wal-mart for around $3.50. It is the SAMS club brand and they are VERY good. I have used them in bars and sold out.

Well, I've had 1 machine broken and a couple go missing and I'm only at 100 units.

For instance I have one location that changed owners and the machine just vanished. I don't know if I should ask to put a new one in or not?

In Topic: WHERE CAN I FIND STRONG BULK CANDY MINTS (NO CHOCOLATE) AT A AWESOME PRICE

im acutally looking for something more like an altoids strengths, for a bar bulk vending machine.

I haven't really found anything like that either. I just use the minty chicklet gum. The thing about mints... You only have to vend 2-3 to make a person happy, so that may change your costs.

Is anyone using this EZcount system on their heads. Seems a bit expensive short term but I think very helpful in the long run especially if you hire help.

I really love the idea especially for building a huge route. However, my machines are generic and they don't offer an EZ count system for them yet. Hopefully soon!
