Good Day Folks,
I have been thinking about getting into the vending business for some time now and have run across a business that is for sale with 55 machines, 38 bulk candy, 14 pop, 5 snack and a 1993 Astro Mini van, what would one pay for something like this to expect to make a go of it and is it really a good idea to purchase a bunch of older machines? The way I look at it is, it is all set up and I can build on what exists, but on the other hand am I going to be spending too much time fixing? I spoke to the fellow that curently owns the business and he tells me that the business consists of a bunch of machines that he has purchased over the years from other businesses that have sold, they are older but have been virtually trouble free, he says, also he tells me that he spends about 35 hours a month on the route and pulls about $30,000/year part time of course is this acurate do you think, how imposible would it be to build on this figure I would eventually like to "FIRE MY BOSS" and make a living with this of course I am going to keep my current job and do this part time to begin with until I really get my feet wet, any expert advise would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to get stuck with another one of those hair brain sceams of mine....
Hi jkosmoney,
I am not sure if this will help but have you looked into vending but healthy type of vending? I am trying to pass the words around about this business just for the kids sake. I spoke to a gentelman in Los Angeles about the business and he was really informative about the business. He own Vend Natural, Inc. I understand that he has secured vending location and its at school sites. I think you should talk to him about this. I am not sure in what states. You might want to inquiring about business as well. Have a look at what they offer-vendnatural
