In Topic: Vendo V-max vending machine tips advice needed

I appreciate all the advice.  I was able to manually vend and test vended each selection....  I am worried a little worried about the clip settings, but I left all but one column the same and if I can locate the clips, I can match it to the same pattern ( 20 oz Gatorade).  I am pushing on,  I am glad the compressor is not short cycling.

The only issue is the door, no I have not had a chance to level the machine.  I noticed that on the threaded end of the "leveling leg" there is hexagon-like head,  What type of socket/size would I use on that hexagon-like head?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

While at pepsi Gatorade used the same clips as 20 oz bottles except we took a utility knife and cut the clover off so the cap on bottle laid flat. Also the sign face had rivets in the trim. If someone has changed that sign face and didn't reinstall those rivets then it will be loose and cause the door to bow when closing. Close the door and tighten it then install the rivets in the holes. You may need to redrill the holes since the new sign face won't have the holes to match up with trim

In Topic: AP 320 frozen machine stopped cooling.

Circuit is overloaded. 2 microwaves will pull 25 amps alone. 1500 watts X 2 =3000/120=25 amps. My best guess is during breaks when everything is in use the frozen is running on low voltage. It will run that way for a while but will overheat and shutdown on the overload. Then after a while will restart after cooling down. I would trip breaker and see if everything is actually on the circuit. Can't imagine all that on a 30 amp breaker. The outlets would burn up IMO. AZ is correct about a dedicated outlet. Eventually you will burn up compressor and those are not cheap to replace. $400 plus... Unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to have a volt meter that will log voltage. Not cheap. I have one just for situations like this.

You will need a can shim and the rod for cans. The rod should be placed in the center holes and the cam set for two deep cans.

In Topic: Vendo V-max vending machine tips advice needed

Bought my first Vendo v max, more familiar with Dixie Narco.  I thought it was time to expand my headaches, I mean my knowledge.

A few questions for the wise.  (1)  I loaded the first 4 columns with product.  I then proceeded to prime Column 1, it worked like a champ, columns 2,3, and 4 gave me an led reading of "sold out"   What should I check?

How often should a properly functioning compressor "kick in" in a one hour period.    How often does a compressor "kick in" to be considered short cycling?

If the compressor is short cycling does that automatically mean that the unit is low on Freon?

In order to close the door on the Vendo completely,  I have to lift up on the bottom of the door to help clear the "roller pin" or else it will not close.  What should I do to solve this problem?          If I remove the "roller pin" wouldn't the door close easier, or would I invite more problems?

If I remove the motor cover, can I manually check the motors like on a Dixie Narco?    The vendo should have a motor test function throught the settings, Right?

On this Vendo what must be changed to convert bottles to cans and visa versa?

Thanks,

#1 Check to make sure the sold out paddle is depressed on the columns. You can push the motor switch up through the hole in the motor cover and the switch will catch. Then push the door switch. It will run the column. When first filling you can push that switch up on each column and then the door switch to activate each motor. That is the easiest way to prime all the columns.

#2 Once the cool down of the cabinet has been obtained the compressor will cycle approx every 15 min. 15 on 15 off. Short cycle is on and off every few seconds and indicates a shorted compressor. If low on gas it won't short cycle just run continuously.

#3 Motors can be run through the board menu. Should be on inner door
