The price of one bag is now over $9.00 now. Just checking what others are doing with the new price, if any thing. PMMS are the usual favorite.
Maybe go to Reeses or vend smaller amounts?
Thanks
David

David,
I have switched low producing accounts to another product like Reeses. A year ago I decreased the amount to vend to 5-6 pieces when we had the 1st price increase. I vend about 400 bags of MMP 56oz per year and HAD to watch my cost. So far, I've gotten by well without too many complaints.

Hi DavidM,
Agree with markvend. You have to preserve your profit margin by dialing down how much comes out of your vending machine...if you can. Often, people don't notice the difference because what's the difference between 25 and 28 skittles when they are in your hand or in a paper bag?
The price will increase for most products...it's just inflation and the manufacturers trying to make more money. To avoid being a slave to the big manufacturers try looking for different vending products that vend in your machine. That way, you have more flexibility to change your products, adds variety and hopefully keep the profit coming in...

What is with the 'paper bag'? I am new to vending in Latin America and was recently asked by a client in Costa Rica if we supplied bags for his location. Is this like kids or adults fill up bags with multiple vends or is it like we saw in Canada where the had a Dixie cup dispensor attached to the side of the nut vendor?

What I would do is shop around and see. Cocoa went up.
It used to be $5.80 a bag, $6.49 bag, $7.10 - $7.50 bag, $8.10 - $8.40 a bag which still hangs around there.
Call places and see what others have that might be available.
Go to coupon websites and see if they have any specials or anything.
In fact I might be able to email to you companies.
Depending on an area, I would see if there is a manufacturer in your area and be like see if they can offer you anything.
