I was wondering about the best way to purchase bulk candy for the machines. I am interested in M&M Peanuts, M&M Plain, Mike and Ike, Reeses Pieces, Gumballs and Chicklets. Perhaps cashews and peanuts as well. What and where is the best place to buy candy in bulk? What size bags are best? What type of price will I need to pay for a large bag of candy? Is it best to find someone nearby and buy direct or is buying on-line a good way? There are no bulk candy suppliers in my town. We have Sam's Club, is this a good place?? Thanks for your help in advance.
I have purchased peel and stick stickers that display the candy colors and logos. I have begun the process to get my charity up and running. I have gotten a year's worth of insurance. I will place 20 machines with a locator and then try to place the others myself. I will keep 30 o 40 machines wihout a charity sponsor just in case I need to give a location a cut. Am I doing this correctly?

WOW, great deal!!! i get my candy at BJ's its the same as a sams club. candy will cost about 6.00 to 8.00 a bag (about 52oz) keep your cost low. try to locate yourself its very easy. PMM prob will be your best seller they are for me. Vendstar 3000 does not do large gum balls very well, so use the smaller ones. And cashews work great in bars. Charity is a good idea, most places want 15% of the Gross Profit through. You sound like you are on the right track, good luck.
Thanks for he advice. I'm joining Sam's today!

I bought 125 Vendstar 3000 machines for a little under $19.00 each! All but three work and are in order. I now have 3 extra machines along with parts and keys to everything. I'm pumped to get started.

Depending on were you live the license you need to operate are different, some states require a state tax sticker on each machine and the county may require a sticker also. Some state you have to get a different sticker in each county. As far as you tax ID # if you are a sole owner your ss # is your tax ID # If you are corporation it is different you have to apply for a number under the corporation name (a lot more involved). I have coin operated pool tables and I have to renew my state tax stamp on every one each year it is a flat fee along with my other vending machines.I'm brand new to this. Had a locator put out 30 machines and now wonder what city / state guidlines I must follow. Can anyone give me a website to find out about laws governing New York City / State and candy vending machines? thanks a lot.
