I just picked up a Dr. Pepper machine, but no tags on it whatsoever. From research I believe it is a Dixie Narco DNCB 304/174-9-10. Measurements are 66"H x 26.5"D x 36"W. Any help with the identification will help. I really need to find a service manual. The machine will accept coins, correct change light will come on, but nothing will vend. I can manually activate the vend motors on all 10 selections. I used KEB's Free Vend tip and disconnected Wire 71 and inserted Wire 10, but now the #2 vend motor will engage just by plugging it in and it will not stop. Bad Vend Relay? Bad Vend Motor? Any help would be appreciated.....

sounds like a relay issue. it's engaging but not turning off so the motor itself is good. is the depth set correctly?

Look closely at the motor while it is running. More then likely the white plastic break on the motor itself is broken. This allows the motor to coast a bit once power has been removed from the motor. The coasting of the motor will re-engage the power micro switch on the timing cam, re-applying power to the motor, causing a continues cycle (running of the motor).
To find the break just look for a very small spring that is around the electromagnet part of the motor. The break is a white plastic piece with a curved tip. Dixie-Narco and Vendo motors will commonly snap the plastic tip off if the machine has some age on it. The plastic just gets brittle.
