Does anybody know where I can get a replacement motor for a polyvend 6640? Yes I know it is old but it is what I have. VEII doesn't carry it anymore. Anybody else I can try?

The machine works other that this one spiral. It doesn't spin and the machine realizes this so it doesn't steal money or anything. Still I need to get it working.

Thanks

We used to sell Polyvend, I'll check in our storage area tomorrow to see if we have a new one somewhere. I doubt it but I'll look. If we have one I will let you know.

suggestion.....before you search for a motor...have you tried exchanging that motor with another in the machine? to do so would assure its the motor....if it works on another column......your problem may be in the wiring harness on the shelf...

just a thot.....

Great suggestion about moving the motor, it was late when I posted. If you don't have another Polyvend, you can move it to another shelf. I have a bunch of motors but I don't know what they go to, National, AP, Polyvend. If you determine the motor is in fact bad, please email a picture to me so I can see if one I have matches. I don't even remember how the spirals attached.

I'll be back there on Monday so I'll switch the wires with another motor so I am 100% sure it is the motor. I found the part number - polyvend 1577035. When I get it home next week I'll be able to take a picture and send it.

I'm not fully sure how the spirals are attached to the motor since I haven't taken it out yet, but I do know that if you twist the spirals counter clockwise they will come out for you.

I'll post again next week.

Thanks.

Well I hate it when people don't follow up - so here is my follow up. I got it open again today and switched the cables and found out it isn't the motor. I found a cable that has come out of the connector. I tried to tape it back in but I only had scotch tape and that didn't work so well. So next time I go back I'll have my battery powered soldering iron and electical tape to fix the stupid thing. I'll reroute the cables a little since it seems to be a bit weird.

Thanks for your willingness to help.
