My understanding is that Silent Sales Force is out of business but that it is still possible to get parts. Any idea on the quality of their machines if you can get them fairly cheaply?

SSF machines are of a very poor quality. At one time, I had two of them. One of the mechs broke. So for me, there was a 50% failure rate. I've never had any mech break on my Oaks, NWs or A&A Globals. The SSF body is cheap plastic. It's not even the sturdy ABS plastic. A sharp knife can slice right through the body of the machine. But, if you insist on SSF machines, you can get them cheaply enough on eBay and use those for parts.
