I recently purchased an older DN coke machine. When I plug it in, it trips my breaker. If I use an extension cord without a ground on it, the machine runs fine. Any thoughts? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, no matter what price the machine is set to, it will not vend. No matter what selection is chosen, no go. Could this have anything to do with the ground bypass?

Sounds like there is a power problem in the wiring. I would first open the power box, which the power cord goes into first, and make sure that everything is connected. The bypass of the ground will not affect the machine's vending, but if you have a power problem, something else could be out, like the relay, a burnt or broken wire, etc. Try the power box first.

One other thing, unplug the compressor from the power box and then try running it off the wall outlet directly first. A problem with compressor circuitry could cause the issue of breaker tripping.

I had a problem with the breaker tripping one time when a wire moved and got cut by the fan blade. If you have any wire that are close to the fan checck the wires closely.
