Help Please I have a Gaines combo machine but the dollar acceptor is not accepting the dollars the LED blinks 1 time pauses and then blinks 3 times can some one help me?

Help Please I have a Gaines combo machine but the dollar acceptor is not accepting the dollars the LED blinks 1 time pauses and then blinks 3 times can some one help me?
Hi the ICT P70 LED showed that the internal optical sensor which work for bill identification error, the violet LED needs repaired.
this means that you might need to call our service personnel in US to send back the Bill acceptor for them to repair for you, or you can do it yourself by reading our service manual (it's quite easy actually!!)

sorry, before you go for service repair, you can open up the upper cover of the bill acceptor, see if the optical sensors are blocked or need clean up.

This more than likely has nothing to do with the purple led.
Gaines manual tells you to clean the bill acceptor with rubbing alcohol. This also happens to be the one bill acceptor in the ICT portfolio that you cannot do that very action with. My guess is that the clear plastic in the bill path of the bill acceptor is now white.
Unfortunately there's not much you can do except get the parts replaced. Its not a cheap repair though.
My personal recommendation is to see if a stacker unit can fit in your machine and replace the P70 with the stacker unit, be sure to get one that supports MDB. MDB is a industry standard interface so any bill acceptor supplier should be able to help you.
