A few people on the boards have suggested advertising in the Yellow Pages. It's not something that I personally think will work out. Before I give any serious thought to it, I would like to know if anyone has actually tried advertising in their local yellow pages, and if so, how did it go. I live in Chicago which, as everyone know, is a big city so our books are extremely thick. I know you have to try something to see wether or not it will work, I just thought I would get feedback from others first. I welcome any and all comments.

The cost of yellow page ads in Chicago will probably make your decision for you!
Unless you do snack & soda, don't even think about it.
For snack and soda operators, the yellow pages are a gamble at best. If you can afford to blow $$$.00 each month, you may want to try it and review your decision after the first year. However, don't let them talk you into getting a large ad. Large ads are very expensive and I haven't had much luck with any YP ads.
It depends on many factors, but your money can be better spent in other ways!
