I ran into a problem today with my machine. Someone called me today telling me that the hot tamales would not vend. When i went there myself to check it out i noticed they were sticking together and needed to tap on it a little to shake them apart. Anyone have this problem?? When the candy did vend out, the temp of the candy was cold, so its not due to the hot weather.

Hot Tamales as you know are prone to the same sticking problems as Mike and Ikes. It is caused not only by heat but humidity as well. Any moisture in the air will react with the coating and cause the candies to stick to each other.
There are several remedies to this. Most of which can be found by searching the forum. I would use "Mike and Ikes" as your search term. If you want to continue to use these candies you have to treat them with something. Most people use flavorless Pam cooking spray applied lightly.

Spead them on a cookie sheet, spray a light mist and I mean light mist on them, spread them around a little and throw them in a big zip lock bag and they will be ready to go. gives them a nice shine too. This works very well
PS you may want to check your wheel in the canister, once this happens it can gum it up pretty good and may need to be cleaned.
Let us know if you need anything else,
Thanks, Frank (sweet stop)
