I am just starting in the bulk candy business and needed to find a placement company to place my machines due to my crappy work schedule. My friend who is in the same business had his machines placed within two weeks with a locator and recommended them to me. They were fast, friendly and efficient for my friend and he was very happy with them. I researched other placement services first and picked the recommended locator to place my machines for me. The locating service told me that they would locate my machines within 7 to 10 days after my payment was received. Great! Here is the down payment. WOW! I’m moving forward as planned. I just need the machines placed and then I will be on my way because everything else is already in place. This is the last hurdle I need to jump over or so I thought…. I followed up weekly with this company and the person who would be placing my machines. A very good start but then the trouble started at week two. Nothing but excuses of why they could not place my machines started to surface. This week will be my fourth week of waiting at this point. I’ve heard enough excuses. I have been very patient with this service but my patience ran out today. The person who is going to locate my machines supposedly had a family emergency and said that he would be placing my machines by next week instead of this week, which he had promised to do last week until the emergency came up. Ok, I can live with that. Stuff happens. When I called the locating company today I was getting the run around. I have already signed a contract with the locating company and have given them a payment. I’m very dissatisfied with their poor service and lack of communication with me. Is there anything I can do about this problem I am having with them?

If you paid with a credit card, you might a chance of a refund thru them. If not, not sure what to tell you. You might search for locators that do not want any funds until they place the machines and you approve of the site.
You might as well face the music and start to locate on your own, its all just a game, some days you loose and on other days you will hit a home run.

Contact me if you want a name of the locator I use. They do not accept payment till the machine is placed.

You might also advise the locator that if there is no progress you will feel compelled to advise everyone on your internet group as to exactly who they are. By telling them that you will advise a large number of potential clients that you are unhappy with their service (also known as shaking the tree) you may get some more immediate results. You will also be doing all of us a favor by making sure we know who to steer clear of in the future.

Hi everyone,
I want to thank everyone for their replies. There is some great advice here at this forum and I appreciate it. You guys are great!
Since I lost my job last year our family has been struggling to make ends meet. I was unable to find work in my field for almost a year now so I switched to another field, which only pays the bills for now. The vending business will give me a chance to prove that I can do things on my own and stop working for someone and start working for myself.
The locator was my first choice because of my present work situation. The work hours are horrible so I need someone to place my machines in order to start up, then after I get the hang of it I will place machines later. I'm trying to be careful in my planning phase and not make any mistakes but I have made a big one with this placement company. I will keep you posted on any progress with this outfit. For now I am very disappointed in the way that they have handled me as a paying customer. My goal here is to help others not to make the same mistake that I have made. I'm not sure that I can post their name in this forum so I won't do that until I get approval to do so.
Thanks again for all of your help in this matter. I appreciate it.
