I'm thinking about entering the vending business, but I do not know which machines generate the most business. (gumball/candy and soda/snacks) I've been seeing alot of gumball and candy machines on different websites that seem very affortable. I've been thinking about purchasing a few but I do not want to go into this situation blind. If snack and soda machines generate more money this would be the route I would like to take. All I would like to know is which of these machines is the least riskiest and genearte the most revenue?

Poux,
Based off experience, I am of the opinion that both balance out in the end.
With Snack and Soda machines, you might have a higher profit margin, but the service time is more extensive. (an average account needing servicing once a week).
With bulk candy your profit may not be as high, but the time between servicing is greater (average account needing servicing 3-5 weeks) allowing you to have more machines on location.
My personal preference lies in mechanical Snack and Soda combos located within medium sized business with 25-30 employees. Easy to manage, nice markup, low commissions, and low maintainence.
Hope some of this information helps you.
