I notice alot of folks want to start in vending, there are ways to do it, but it takes a lot of hard work, some really good planning, and some captial to start with. This is one of the worst times to start in vending due to everything has gone up, Candy, pastry, gas, insurance, and what I'm seeing is small vendors are folding, while the larger vendors are mantaining, another problem with growth is hiring, owners are finding themsleves back on a route, Why, because it's hard to find good help.I think Vending is great, it provides a good income, and give you a sense of pride in knowing that you have suceeded in the hardest business, I do recommend that all of those who are interested in vending to go back a read some of the post's on here, go back and read BVI, coinvestors, and some others on here, these guys have started out much like many of you, and now run there own Vending Company.

Thankyou. We just put our website and Company in the yellow pages last year and really doing a lot more repair and machines sales than vending, which is a good thing because those things are more profitable at this time.I do believe it's a closer for us when we go head to head with other local vending Companies, so I do recommend it for most vending Companies .Thanks again for the compliment.

Truer words were never spoken. Great post, Tim. I've noticed that a lot of sites and even some e-books out there purport vending to be an "easy business" -- one that does not require a lot of time. That's pure bull_hit. It might be true in the beginning when you have just a few machines (less than 10), but you will have to have a lot more machines out there than that if you want to make any money at all, and you will work your royal butt off to get there... in all kinds of weather and in all kinds of extreme temperatures. Anyone considering getting into this business should think about all the logistics - really think it through - before they invest any money.

You guys tell it like it is with no sugar coating and that's what anyone needs when deciding whether or not to go into this. I know I had to do alot of research for myself. Don't believe the companies that say buy the machines from us and they'll provide routes for you .. That alot of bull......
