The locations are what make you money. Not how great your machine is, or necessarily what kind of product you carry, it really comes down to the locations.
So... How do you land big accounts? Big, as in over 100 employees. Big as in, several machines are needed to properly service the account. How do go from doing small time businesses (oil change shops, ect) to big warehouses or large office complexes? I have used a locator in the past, and like many people, was screwed over pretty well. I am now having a locator redo the work and I will be surprised if it turns out better.
After reading the posts of some of the big guys on here, I see that doing your locating yourself can be beneficial. How do you go about it? Please put your input below for me and the rest of the rookies out there:
- How do you find the large locations?
- How do you kick out the vending service already on site?
- How do you get in contact with the decision maker?
- How can you avoid paying a commission or at least reduce it?
- What tools are most helpful? (i.e. biz cards, menu, ect)
Sincerely,
~HooseFoose~
