Dixie Narco 501E Dispensing Extra Cans

When I open my Dixie Narco 501E the "jamm" message comes on the display for selections 5 and 9, then starts "homing". The cam rotates a few times and the metal "l" shaped arm that touches the cam clicks into the first few grooves, but does not stop.

I am not very good with the mechanics of my machines, but want to learn so I do not have to rely on others to fix them for me.

Vend Cycle makes Extra Rotation

There are two selections in my Dixie Narco 501E that make two complete rotations when vending, in the process three cans fall out. All the other selections work fine. The cam is set properly on the correct number. One of the "cradles", where the cans sit in, stops in a half-moon position instead of ending face up to allow the sodas to fall inside.

Any suggestions?

DN 501E vends two Bottles at a time

I want to vend Gatorade 20 oz bottles. I have some DN 501Es. I have one selection in each that vends water bottles. I moved the waters to another row in one machine, replaced them with the Gatorade, reset the spacer(think that's what it's called) in the back, tested it and everything was fine.

Did the same process to the next two machines, but they kept vending two bottles at a time. I watched from underneath as I test vended. The second bottle just rolls over the notch that sticks out from the shim and drops. The notches on the other shims catch all the cans and the one Gatorade selection that does work, preventing them from falling down into the chute.

I imagine you may need more details, but any suggestions up to this point.

How do I remove can shim from DN 501E?

Just got some DN 501Es. I bought them set mostly for cans. I would like to convert one more selection in each for Gatorade 20 oz bottles. I have the bottle shims to replace the can shims, but I cannot figure out how to remove the can shims. They loosen and come undone on the end of the shim closest to the door, but do not come undone on the back end.

Any tips?
